Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Dana White’s Contender Series 92:

  • The main event of DWCS 92 is a welterweight bout between Zevan Hunt and Mayton Perea. Hunt is a perfect 7-0 in his MMA career so far, and he comes into the UFC after previously being the Rage in the Cage featherweight champion. He has also fought for Peak Fighting, and all but one of his wins have come by stoppage so far in his career, which began in 2022. As for Perea, he is 8-3 in his career, and he has won his last three fights in a row heading into this bout. All of his wins have come by stoppage, but he has also been finished three times, which is, of course, a worry against a finisher like Hunt. Although Perea has a chance to win this fight, you have to lean toward Hunt to win.
  • Also on the card is a middleweight bout between Igor Cavalcanti and Oscar Ravello. Cavalcanti is 4-1 in his last five fights after he lost on DWCS in 2024 to current UFC standout SeokHyeon Ko. As for Ravello, he is coming off two straight wins himself, but he has not fought the same level of competition that Cavalcanti has. You have to lean towards Cavalcanti to make good on his second shot on DWCS and come away with a big knockout win over Ravello in this spot.
