Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Abu Dhabi Opening Odds:
- In the main event of UFC Abu Dhabi, Magomed Ankalaev takes on Bogdan Guskov at light heavyweight. Guskov is filling in on short notice for the injured Khalil Rountree Jr. This should be a really good fight between two of the best light heavyweights in the sport, but Ankalaev is a former UFC light heavyweight champion who has proven he can go five hard rounds, so he deserves to be the favorite to win this main event fight against the unproven Guskov.
- In the co-main event, we have a flyweight bout between Steve Erceg and Ramazan Temirov. Erceg has been looking good as of late, as he’s won his last two fights over Tim Elliott and Ode Osbourne to bounce back after losing three fights in a row. As for Temirov, he is 2-0 in the UFC with a win over Charles Johnson in his last bout, but he hasn’t fought in over a year after testing positive for banned substances. This should be a competitive fight, but Erceg is more proven in the UFC, and thus he is the favorite to get his hand raised in this bout.
