Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC 327 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC 327 features Jiri Prochazka taking on Carlos Ulberg for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title after former champion Alex Pereira gave up his belt. Prochazka is coming off back-to-back knockout wins over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill and will be looking to win back the title he once held before having to vacate it due to injury. As for Ulberg, he lost his UFC debut in 2021 before reeling off nine straight wins and earning this chance to fight for a UFC title for the first time. Someone is going to get knocked out in this fight, but due to his championship experience, Prochazka is the slight favorite to win here.
- In the co-main event, we have a light heavyweight bout between Azamat Murzakanov and Paulo Costa. Murzakanov is 6-0 so far in the UFC, and he is coming off the biggest win of his career when he knocked out Aleksandar Rakic. As for Costa, he has been in the UFC for nearly a decade but is still winning fights, with a decision win over Roman Kopylov coming in his last bout. This should be a fantastic fight between two strikers, but with Murzakanov being undefeated, he is the betting favorite here.
