Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC London Opening Odds:
- In the main event of UFC London, we have a five-round featherweight bout between top contenders Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy. Evloev is a perfect 9-0 in the UFC so far, and probably should have already fought for the UFC featherweight title, though his lack of finishes has hurt him. Murphy, too, has been impressive with a 9-0-1 UFC record, including a KO win over Aaron Pico in his last fight. Although Murphy will have the hometown crowd rooting for him here, it’s hard to deny how dominant Evloev has been so far during his UFC career.
- In the co-main event, we have Luke Riley taking on Michael Aswell in a featherweight bout. Riley is an undefeated prospect with a perfect 12-0 record who picked up an impressive TKO win over Bogdan Grad in his UFC debut. As for Aswell, he made his UFC debut last year and lost a decision to Bolaji Oki, but he bounced back with a TKO win over Lucas Almeida. This should be an awesome fight, though it is a tad surprising to see it listed as the co-main event. Still, given that Riley is blowing up in popularity right now, you have to expect him to win here.
