Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 106 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 106 is a five-round welterweight bout between Michael Morales and Gilbert Burns. Morales joined the UFC in 2022, and he has won all five of his fights inside the Octagon since then, including three wins by knockout. As for Burns, he has been in the UFC since 2014 and has been one of the top-ranked welterweight fighters for many years. However, he is on a decline now in his late 30s, and he has lost his last three fights coming into this bout. As good as Burns has been for so many years, Morales is the young gun on the come-up, and he is the clear favorite to win this fight.
- In the co-main event, we have light heavyweights Rodolfo Bellato and Paul Craig going at it. Bellato is unbeaten in the UFC with a 1-0-1 record, while Craig is 9-10 and has lost five of his last six fights overall. Craig has some huge wins on his resume, including a submission win over UFC light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev, but all of his recent losses are very concerning, and it’s basically impossible to pick him at this point, especially against a younger fighter like Bellato.
