Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 146:

  • The CWFC middleweight title is on the line when Christian Leroy Duncan takes on Marian Dimitrov. Duncan is just 27 years old and he’s undefeated with a 6-0 record. In his last fight, he won the CWFC middleweight belt with a knockout win. Since turning pro in 2020, Duncan has turned heads with his performances. He’s finished all but one of his fights and continues to look better and better every time he steps into the cage. As for Dimitrov, he has been a pro since 2012 and rides into this fight off of a 10-fight win streak. However, his level of competition hasn’t been great, and you have to favor Duncan to get the win in this fight.
  • In the co-main event, Mateusz Figlak faces Jim Wallhead for the interim CWFC welterweight belt. Figlak, whose brother Michal is in the UFC, is riding a five-fight win streak at the moment. In fact, he’s only lost once in his career, to Ian Garry in the UFC. The majority of his victories have come via stoppage. As for Wallhead, he’s 38 years old but he has won his last three fights in a row, including a big upset KO in his last fight. That being said, Figlak is the fighter who is more in his prime at the moment, and he deserves to be the favorite in this fight.
