Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 145:

  • The main event of Cage Warriors 145 is a rematch between Jordan Vucenic and Paul Hughes for the CWFC featherweight title. These two previously fought in 2020, with Vucenic winning a split decision. Now, these two meet again with gold on the line. Since their first meeting, both men are 2-0 and it should be interesting to see how this rematch goes. Vucenic has to be the favorite here since he’s the champ, but Hughes has what it takes to give him a good fight.
  • Also on the card is a light heavyweight bout between former UFC fighter Modestas Bukauskas and Lee Chadwick. Bukauskas has not fought since suffering a leg injury to Khalil Rountree Jr. in the Octagon last September. Now that he’s healthy, he’s returned to Cage Warriors FC after being released by the UFC after a 1-3 record in the world’s leading MMA promotion. Prior to joining the UFC, Bukauskas previously competed in CWFC and went 5-1. As for Chadwick, he’s a journeyman who has fought all over the world. He is tough enough to make this fight interesting, but in the end, as long as Bukauskas is fully healthy, he should win this fight.
