Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 134:

  • The main event of Cage Warriors 134 is a featherweight title fight between Jordan Vucenic and James Hendin, who took the fight on four days’ notice after Paul Hughes was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury. Starting with Vucenic, he won his last fight over Morgan Charriere to capture the CWFC 145lbs title. He has won his last six fights in a row, though it should be noted his last three victories have come by split decision. As for Hendin, he is 6-1 as a pro, though he is riding just a one-fight winning streak. Although you have to give Hendin a lot of credit for stepping up and taking this fight on short notice, Vucenic is the rightful favorite.
  • Also on the main card is a middleweight bout between Will Currie and Patrick Vallee. Currie has been in CWFC for a few years now and he won his last fight by submission. As for Vallee, he has perhaps the most .500 MMA record you will ever see at 12-12-2. Incredibly, this man has been a pro since 2003, having fought former UFC fighter Siyar Bahadurzada in his MMA debut way back in the day, fighting to a draw against him twice. He’s also fought the likes of Paul Daley and Brandon Thatch, losing to both of them. Although Vallee has a ton of experience, he more often than not loses his fights, so Currie is the clear favorite here.
