Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 126:

  • The main event of LFA 126 sees Jonas Bilharinho go against Jose Delano for the vacant LFA featherweight title. Delano was supposed to fight someone else but he was elevated to the title fight on short notice after Rafael Barbosa was not cleared to compete. Bilharinho is coming off of an insane wheel kick KO on Dana White’s Contender Series, but the UFC president declined to give him a contract. Although it was an amazing finish from Bilharinho, White passed on signing him. Having said that, Bilharinho is super talented, and if he can win the LFA featherweight title, perhaps White will give him a shot in the UFC. To do so, Bilarinho will have to get past Delano, who has won his last eight fights in a row. Although Delano has been hot, Bilharinho should be able to beat him, especially given the short notice for five rounds.
  • As for the co-main event, it’s Gabriel Bonfim against Eduardo Gavron for the vacant LFA welterweight title. Bonfim has won all 11 of his pro fights including his last win, a knockout in LFA. As for Gavron, he has been a pro since 2013 and he has fought the likes of Akihiro Gono, though he lost that fight. Gavron is a solid fighter in his own right, but Bonfim has all the momentum and he is the clear favorite here.
