Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 46:

  • The main event of DWCS 46 is a lightweight bout between Achilles Estremadura and Maheshate. Estremadura isĀ unbeaten at 7-0 in his MMA career. He’s a Canadian-based fighter who comes from the Battlefield Fight League and who was the lightweight champion in that promotion. There are high hopes for Estremadura to become one of the next great fighters from Canada, and he has a golden opportunity to make a name for himself at DWCS. In this fight, Estremadura takes on Maheshate, who has a 5-1 record. While Maheshate is only 21 years old, he has barely any experience and hasn’t fought good competition. I’m going with Maheshate to win this fight, and there is likely a good chance he finishes the fight by stoppage.
  • In the co-main event, we have Yohan Lainesse taking on Justin Burlinson. Lainesse is another Canadian fighter on this card who is a perfect 7-0 in MMA since making his debut in 2018. He has been looking good and also fighting solid competition while competing for organizations such as CFFC and TKO. As for Burlinson, he is a CWFC and Bellator veteran who is a perfect 6-0 in MMA, and all that experience in Cage Warriors and Bellator should help him here. The odds opened as a Pick ’em for this fight, but the early action has come in on Burlinson.
