Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 268:

  • The main event of Bellator 268 is a light heavyweight Grand Prix tournament semifinal bout between Vadim Nemkov and Julius Anglickas. Since Nemkov is the champion, the belt will be up for grabs in this contest. Nemkov has won eight straight fights and he defeated Phil Davis and Ryan Bader in his last two outings. He has proven that he is one of the best light heavyweights in the world, and would likely be a top-10 fighter if he was in the UFC. As for Anglickas, he was the tournament alternate after Anthony Johnson pulled out due to health issues. Anglickas has won nine straight fights with a 3-0 record in Bellator, so he earned his shot as the alternate. That being said, it’s hard to go against the champ Nemkov here.
  • The co-main event features another light heavyweight Grand Prix semifinal as Ryan Bader fights Corey Anderson. Bader is coming off of a big win over Lyoto Machida in his last fight to bounce back after losing his belt to Nemkov. As for Anderson, he has won both of his Bellator fights since leaving the UFC. Anderson opened as the favorite here, but don’t sleep on Bader.
