UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Teixiera Prop Betting Selections

mmafight night: Smith vs Teixeira, odds, bets, picks, betting, gambling, five props

Glover Teixeira wins by Submission (+450)

I’m not sure if Teixeira WILL take Anthony Smith down but he can easily if he chooses to and will have a substantial advantage on the ground over his opponent. Teixeira is a legitimate black belt submission artist on the ground with plenty of wins by sub under his belt. I think Smith is a much more durable fighter on the feet and has the power to hurt Teixeira even though he might not be as technical or good of a striker as Teixeira is. Teixeira’s best path to victory here would be immediately taking ‘Lionheart’ down, beating him up, and eventually locking in a submission – such as his patented rear-naked or arm-triangle choke.

Alexander Hernandez wins by Decision (+200)

This should be a great grappling exchange between two competitive fighters in the lightweight division. I have to favor Hernandez here as he is the younger and more explosive fighter. I think he is still learning and growing as a fighter and while Dober is no easy test, Hernandez should be able to use his strong wrestling and clinch work to secure a decision victory.

Ovince Saint Preux (-135) Money Line Play

Ben Rothwell hasn’t looked good in his return to the UFC after a two-year USADA suspension – going just 1-2 in his three bouts with his one win coming over a declining Stefan Struve. OSP is a weird fighter to bet on; he loses fights that he should win and wins fights that he honestly should not win. This is one of those spots where he should really win this fight handily. Using his reach advantage and grappling he should look to outpoint Rothwell on the feet and maybe even take him down for a choke or try and finish him on the feet. Rothwell isn’t fast and is very unorthodox but does pack some power behind his fists. If OSP can avoid the danger of his strikes and time his counters then I see no reason why you can’t at least make a small risk on OSP given his betting odds.

Best of luck, thanks for reading, and stay safe everyone!
