UFC on FOX 22’s Scott Holtzman: ‘It would have been nice to get a guy with more experience’ Dec 14, 2016

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on FOX 22 lightweight Scott Holtzman as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday (December 17, 2016) against Josh Emmett at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

The Tennessee native discusses his unbeaten opponent and what he knew about Emmett when he got the call from the UFC:

“I knew him, I know everybody really. I watch all the fights, especially in the division. I knew he was a prospect, and Team Alpha Male, and all that. He’s newer to the UFC, so I think maybe that’s why it’s an odd fight. But I was ok with it. I’m kind of to the point where I’d like to start moving up too, so it would have been nice to get a guy with more experience. It will be a good test, it’s a similar style matchup. Definitely two prospects meeting.”
